First ride of the 2015 KTM Adventure trying to understand why is this bike £3000 more than the Yamaha MT-09 Tracer or £1500 more than the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx. There are a lot of things I like about the V Twin such as the low end grunt, the rather nice vibration and the safety aspects of a modern KTM (ABS and traction control come standard) but the seat height is as high as the price tag and doesn't give me the confidence at low speed especially on a slopped surface. This bike is not for short riders like me but once you get going it's fantastic. The Akrapovic exhaust system sounds just amazing.

If you're over 6 foot tall, has £12000 to spare and wants a comfortable but responsive road adventure bike then you should seriously consider this 1050 'baby' Adventure. By the way the 1190 and 1290 Adventure bikes are even taller and pricier. I don't quite understand KTM's pricing strategy of an entry level adventure styled bike.
